Wood furniture की care करना जरूरी है ताकि उसकी life लंबी रहे। Regular dusting soft cotton cloth से करनी चाहिए। Dust जमा होने से wood dull दिखने लगता है। हर हफ्ते furniture wipe करना जरूरी है।
Water contact से wood जल्दी खराब होता है इसलिए furniture पर पानी गिरने पर तुरंत साफ करें। Wet cloth की जगह हल्का damp cloth use करना better है। Water rings रोकने के लिए table mats और coasters रखना अच्छा होता है। Moisture furniture का biggest enemy है।
Sunlight से भी wood fade होता है इसलिए wooden furniture direct sunlight से बचाएँ। Window के पास heavy curtains रखना helpful है। Polish yearly या half-yearly कराने से shine और protection दोनों मिलते हैं। Good polish furniture की age बढ़ाता है।
Furniture को scratch से बचाने के लिए sharp objects दूर रखें। बच्चों के खेलने के दौरान भी ध्यान रखें कि वे surface खराब न करें। Heavy चीजें खींचने की जगह उठाकर रखें। Smooth movement के लिए pads use कर सकते हैं।
Termites से बचाने के लिए regular inspection जरूरी है। Termite spray या treatment समय पर करवाना helpful है। Wood dry और clean रखने से insects नहीं लगते। Good ventilation भी furniture को सुरक्षित रखता है।
